Test Details

AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) is produced by granulosa cells within small ovarian follicles. It is used to assess ovarian reserve, estimate fertility potential, and monitor response to fertility treatments such as IVF. AMH levels are relatively stable throughout the menstrual cycle and gradually decrease with age. It can also be used to evaluate polycystic ovary syndrome and monitor treatment effectiveness.

High levels may indicate polycystic ovary syndrome or an increased number of small follicles.
Low levels indicate reduced ovarian reserve, which increases with age and may reflect decreased fertility.
