1. Remove the mask and tubing from the package and check that they are undamaged and free from obstruction.
2. Securely connect one end of the oxygen tubing to the mask inlet.
3. Connect the other end to a compatible oxygen source or oxygen concentrator.
4. Set the oxygen flow rate exactly as instructed by a doctor or healthcare professional.
5. Gently place the mask over the user’s nose and mouth.
6. Position the strap behind the head and adjust it for a secure, comfortable fit without excessive pressure.
7. Confirm that oxygen is flowing and ensure the tubing remains free from kinks or compression.
8. After use, turn off the oxygen source and remove the mask. Dispose of it according to facility procedures.
