Carcinoembryonic Antigenis a blood test used to detect certain types of cancer, such as colorectal, breast, and lung cancer. It helps evaluate the body's response to treatment and monitor the possibility of cancer recurrence. The test is usually requested when symptoms like unexplained weight loss, abnormal bleeding, changes in bowel habits, or a family history of cancer are present.
